We believe that children can be released from poverty through God and Education. We offer opportunities for children living in poverty education, graduation, and salvation. God has given us the Vision that education is the only key to releasing children from poverty. We take a long-term approach to what we do and go beyond simple involvement in the lives of the children and families we serve.


Our child development programs provide opportunities that encourage healthy development in four areas spiritual, physical, social and educational.

What is the Fundacristo Child Sponsorship?


Sponsoring a child in poverty is critical to committing yourself to releasing a child from poverty. In the communities where we serve the majority of the families make less than $2 per day. Our child sponsorship program connects you with one child, providing that one child an educational opportunity, and that is the most strategic way to releasing a child from poverty.

How does the Child Sponsorship Program Work?

Through your monthly financial commitment, prayer, gifts, and letter writing, sponsors invest directly in the lives of children living in extreme poverty.


The children attend a private christian school where they receive life-changing opportunities that would otherwise be out of their reach. 


All FundaCristo sponsored children have the opportunity to develop their God-given potential through education and be released from the poverty that has trapped their families for generations.


Child sponsorship offers:

  • ongoing Christian learning through a our christian education classes
  • educational opportunities to defeat illiteracy through our school and community library.
  • key life skills training and vocational programs like arts, music, agriculture, worship dance that provides a brighter future.
  • recreational activities to participate in sports and development self-confidence and social skills.
  • nutritional meals 
  • protection from crime, violence and danger.
